By accessing or using QueerBox ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use QueerBox.

2. About QueerBox

QueerBox is a platform for discovering, tracking, reviewing, and discussing LGBTQ+ film and television. Our mission is to create a welcoming space for the queer community to celebrate and explore queer cinema.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Community Guidelines

QueerBox is a community built on respect and celebration of LGBTQ+ stories. You agree not to post, share, or engage in content that:

• Is hateful, discriminatory, or harassing toward any individual or group
• Is homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory
• Contains spam, misinformation, or misleading content
• Violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of others
• Is sexually explicit or inappropriate
• Impersonates another person or entity

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

5. User Content

When you submit reviews, ratings, lists, or other content to QueerBox, you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant QueerBox a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the platform
• Confirm that your content does not violate any third-party rights

6. Intellectual Property

The QueerBox name, logo, and platform design are owned by QueerBox. Film metadata, posters, and related media are sourced from TMDB and remain the property of their respective owners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from QueerBox's proprietary content without permission.

7. Third-Party Services

QueerBox uses third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Google (sign-in), PostHog (analytics), and TMDB (film data). Your use of these services through QueerBox is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

QueerBox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the accuracy of film metadata sourced from third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QueerBox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your public content (reviews, lists) may remain visible unless you request deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of QueerBox after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
